the friday five (sports) (friday five)
1. Do you watch sports? If so, which ones?
I like watching football, soccer, lacrosse, and most kinds of extreme sports (skateboarding, bmx, snowboarding, etc.).
2. What/who are your favorite sports teams and/or favorite athletes?
Tony Hawk, Wee Man, Spud Webb, Yao Ming, Shaq (but cut it out with the Radio Shack, dork)... that's about it, really. I don't really root for teams, except for Washington area ones (which I don't really know anything about), I just like watching good games. I also like that Middle Eastern form of rugby played with the dead goat, like in Rambo 2.
3. Are there any sports you hate?
Golf is wack. I can't say that I hate it, cause I've never really tried it, but it looks boring. I also hate competitive running. I need a reason to run (besides to run faster than someone else), thank you very much.
4. Have you ever been to a sports event?
Yes, I've been to at least one major sporting event of each type (football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer). Redskins, Orioles, Bullets, Caps, DC United, respectively.
5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play?
I played soccer in middle school. I was usually a halfback or fullback. It's fun to take people out. Then I wrestled all 4 years in high school and was a captain my senior year. It's fun to take people out. I also played lacrosse my senior year of high school. I was a defender there too. The only rule about hitting people in lacrosse is that your hands have to be touching on your stick. It's fun to take people out. But the refs are stricter in lacrosse than in soccer. Or maybe it's that I gained about 80 pounds since soccer so I had the potential to hurt people more. Whatever. I played football randomly in college, just pick-up stuff. It's fun to take out random people. Now I play dodgeball on sundays every now and then. It's fun to... you get the idea.
